How Arenevo began

Arenevo started with a problem I couldn't solve. As a positive psychology practitioner, I kept looking for a tool that could help leaders understand what was really happening inside their teams, something that bridged the gap between research and practice.
When I shared the idea with Simone, it struck a chord. Over a decade of building and advising software teams across Europe, he had watched the same pattern play out again and again: leaders who genuinely cared about their teams, but had no honest, structured way to find out what was happening beneath the surface and no time to turn what they learned into real, visible action.
I saw leaders struggling with unexplained absences, poor communication, and low trust in their teams, with no clear guidance or accessible tools to help them address it.
That frustration became Arenevo: anonymous surveys grounded in research, paired with clear, evidence-based actions a manager can start the same day results arrive.
Meet the founders
Two perspectives — organisational psychology and software — brought together to build the tool neither of us could find.
Danielle Watson
Co-Founder
I'm a positive psychology practitioner with an academic background from the University of East London. I'm currently completing my MSc research in Applied Positive Psychology, with a focus on organisations and leadership. Since relocating to Germany from Jamaica in 2009, I've worked across small and medium-sized enterprises as well as multinational corporations. Drawing on my personal and professional experience, I earned my certification as a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Strategist from the University of Cambridge Judge Business School. My mission is to foster effective collaboration across diverse groups.

I've spent over a decade building and advising software teams across Europe, including several years as a tech lead in France working with offshore teams — an experience that taught me firsthand how much culture, not just process, decides whether a distributed team actually works well together. As Arenevo's co-founder, I lead product and technology, turning Danielle's vision for honest, human-centred team insight into a platform that's simple to use, anonymous, and built to hold up at scale.
