Inviting Your Team
Invite teammates and understand the roles available on a team.
Every account is built around one or more teams. To invite teammates, go to Settings → Members and send an invitation by email, choosing the role they should join with. Invited members receive a link to join once they accept.
Roles
Each member has one of four roles:
- Owner — full control over the team, including billing and deleting the team. Assigned automatically to whoever creates the team.
- Admin — can update team settings and manage invitations, but cannot access billing or delete the team.
- Member — can participate in campaigns and view results, without administrative permissions.
- Guest — sees only the dashboard, this team's campaigns, and their own account settings.
See Team Roles & Permissions for the full permission breakdown.
Joining as Member or Admin
Someone invited as a Member or Admin who doesn't already have an Arenevo account picks whether they're joining as a Team Leader or a Consultant on the invitation's registration form — the same choice offered at direct sign-up. Whichever they pick becomes their account type, and Arenevo sets them up with their own personal company and team, exactly like a normal registration. The new account owns its own workspace in addition to now being a member of the team it was invited into.
If the invited email already has an Arenevo account, there's no registration form — they're sent straight to log in, and the invitation is applied the moment they sign in.
Inviting a Guest
Choose Guest when someone is joining to work on tasks you assign rather than to help run the team. They set a password straight from the invitation email — no separate sign-up, no approval wait, no role choice — and land on a dashboard showing this team's campaigns and nothing else. No company or personal team is created for a Guest account.
If the person you invite as a Guest already uses Arenevo, they keep their own account exactly as it is. The restriction applies only inside this team.
Guest accounts and promotion
A Guest account is deliberately minimal — no company, no billing, no other teams. It's only ever created that way through a Guest-role invitation; nobody chooses it for themselves.
A Guest account stops being a Guest the moment it's given real access somewhere:
- Accepting another invitation. If a Guest is invited to a Member or Admin role — on this team again, or on a different one — accepting it promotes the account: it now owns a personal company and team of its own, in addition to its membership on both teams.
- Being promoted from the Members list. An Owner or Admin can change a Guest's role to Member or Admin from Settings → Members. Doing so promotes the account the same way — a personal company is created for them automatically.
Promotion only ever goes one way. Moving a promoted member's role back to Guest, or removing them from the team, does not take back the company or personal team they were given.
Removing or changing a member's role
Owners and Admins can change a member's role or remove them from Settings → Members. The last remaining Owner on a team cannot be removed — transfer ownership first if you need to leave.
