Team Roles & Permissions
What Owners, Admins, Members, and Guests can each do.
Every team member has exactly one role, which determines what they can do on that team.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything — including billing and deleting the team. Assigned automatically to whoever creates the team; there's always exactly one. |
| Admin | Update team settings, send and cancel invitations. Cannot access billing or delete the team. |
| Member | Participate in campaigns and view results. No administrative permissions. |
| Guest | A deliberately minimal experience: the dashboard, this team's campaigns, and their own account settings. Nothing else. |
Guests
Guests exist for people you bring in to work on assigned tasks rather than to run the team — a client's staff, for example. Their sidebar contains only Dashboard. They can open the team's campaigns from there, read results, and complete the actions assigned to them, but they cannot create or launch campaigns, and they never see the Library, My Library, Groups, or any company, team, or billing settings. They are not shown the onboarding flow, and no personal company or team is created for them.
A guest joins by setting a password directly from their invitation email — there is no separate sign-up and no approval step, because a team Admin or Owner already vouched for them by sending the invitation.
Inviting someone who already uses Arenevo as a Guest restricts them in that team only. Their own team, company, and billing stay exactly as they were.
Guest is actually two separate things: an account role, which decides whether the account owns a company at all, and a team role, which decides what it can do on one particular team. A full account (Team Leader or Consultant) can hold a Guest team role on someone else's team — a consultant's own client contact added to review results, say — without touching their own company or teams elsewhere. Only an account created as a Guest is restricted everywhere; a Guest team role restricts only that one team.
Changing roles
An Owner or Admin can change another member's role, or remove them, from Settings → Members. The Owner role can't be removed from the last remaining Owner — if you need to leave a team you own, transfer ownership to another member first.
Moving a Guest account to Member or Admin — either from this dropdown, or by that account accepting a new Member/Admin invitation — promotes it: Arenevo creates a personal company and team for it automatically, the same setup a direct registration gets. The promotion sticks even if the role is later moved back to Guest or the member is removed from the team.
Multiple teams
A user can belong to multiple teams with a different role on each — for example, owning one team while being a regular Member of another you were invited to.
